Madison Meets Mickey Mouse.
On our most recent Disney trip, we decided we wanted to take Madison to meet Mickey Mouse for the first time.
We used our My Disney Experience app that we downloaded onto our phones to book our fast passes (the app allows you to reserve your fast passes about 16 days in advanced). I selected the day I wanted, picked which park I would like to be attending that day and chose which rides/experiences I wished to have and at the time in which worked best for us.
We usually like to attend the parks later in the evening, because most of the time, it's way too hot to really be able to enjoy the park during the day with a toddler (even though there are plenty of cool places to hide from the blazing sun).
Once we booked out fast passes, we were ready to go see Mickey Mouse himself!
While we waited in our fast pass line, adventurous Madison wanted to explore the area. She was getting a little fussy but thankfully the line moved quickly enough to distract her with the different magical objects they have decorated the area with. Once we were in the same room with Mickey himself, she couldn't contain her excitement and was screaming "Mickey! Mickey! Mickey!" she was trying so hard to pull his attention away from the kids he was currently with.
To my surprise, she waited very patiently while the people in front of us went on to take their pictures with Mickey. We kept repeating to her "Madison, you need to wait, he's with other kids right now. He will see you soon. Okay?" and she would say "Okay."
Once it was her turn to meet him the first thing she went to do was grab his nose as to see if he was real. He then thanked her for coming to visit him, and she exclaimed "Mickey!" I guess she realized, he was real ! He then went on to hold her hands and say " Meeska! Mooska ! Mickey Mouse!" he even did a little dance, where she joined in without a second thought. They took a few pictures && Madison even gave Mickey the biggest hug I think I've ever seen. Mickey was so gentle and so welcoming, plus with his voice, it kept her familiarized with him.
The happiness in the moment was pure bliss and just by these pictures taken by the Walt Disney World photographers, you can see it all in her face. I'm so grateful Walt Disney World has created such a beautiful memory for not just Madison, but us parents as well and I cannot wait to take her back for more.
If your interested in having your little one meet Mickey, I highly suggest to meet him at Magic Kingdom at Town Square Theater.
Madison's entire Disney outfit is all from the World of Disney store located at Disney Springs.
