Another Jam Packed Miami Weekend.
This weekend was so much fun and at the same time ridiculously exhausting.
It was definitely another jam packed Miami weekend, as we usually try and cram as much time with all of our friends and family as possible.
We started off on Friday evening at the Miami Dade Youth Fair where we had a blast stuffing our faces with carnival food. We went with Alex's cousins and their spouses to help make ourselves feel better about not being the only ones packing on the calories. Corn dogs, pizza, elephant ears, fried oreos, and tons of more good food was devoured in what seemed like seconds.
This was Madison's first time attending the Miami Dade Youth Fair as last year I had just given birth to her. She enjoyed just as much of the food as we did, but was serious about trying to sneak into one of the fun houses. We took her into the petting zoo, but she wanted no part in touching the animals. She was just fine in our arms just looking at them instead.
On Saturday, we started our morning out at Mercy Hospitals Easter Egg Hunt. The event was free and open to the public. I do wish we would of gotten there a tad bit earlier after searching for what seemed 30 minutes to find parking (it was my first time going to a public holiday event like this). We had missed the last Easter egg hunt by just a few minutes for Madison's age group. However, that didn't stop us from enjoying the real reason we had gone to the event.
Poppy and Creek performed a few songs from the movie and Madison enjoyed every single song that they played. I mean, Trolls is only her favorite movie like, EVER. The sun was bright and sure brought the name to our NBA team to light (Miami Heat). They had face painting, a train ride and tons of other activities for the kids to enjoy. I'll definitely be bringing her back for next year as only a few activities were good for her age this year.
Sunday, we had a delicious lunch at Bayside's Los Ranchos Steakhouse with our friends and their two kids. Great food, good wine and the best company! We explored around the boats and checked out the Disney store. Which wasn't the best idea as it left us with a crying one year old who wanted a baby Moana doll (Madison) and a very sad three year old who couldn't get his Star Wars action figures (which he already has).
It was a fabulous weekend, filled with tons of events and tons of fun.
